Sweet Success!
Hi! Cadee Brystal here! I'm going to be posting my blog through the Two Ponies Publishing site, at least for a while.
I'm excited to report that I attended two vendor shows last weekend -- one at the Memorial Middle School PTA Bazaar in Sioux Falls and one at the Risen Savior Catholic Church Annual Cookie Parade and Craft Fair in Brandon. It was a great experience!
I was a bit nervous before going to the shows, and I searched the internet for advice. I found a blog with some good advice for a "successful" book signing. The author said the most important thing is to define "successful". She said, in her experience, a successful book signing is one where:
1 - the author (Me) is present
2 - the books (Wide Open Spaces) is present
3 - people come (you did!)
and
4 - at least one book is sold
By that standard my first showing was a huge success! I was so happy to meet everyone and be able to visit with members of the crowd. It was a thrill everytime someone said, "I'll take a copy."
I hope that you all are as happy reading Wide Open Spaces as I was just being able to reach out and meet the readers!
I'm really looking forward to more shows and book signings! Thank you all so much!
